LingOrtus is an educational application designed to support English learning for both children and adults. This privacy policy explains the app’s data protection standards and user rights.

1. Data Collection and Privacy: LingOrtus does not collect, store, or share any personal information such as name, email, location, or phone number. The app contains no analytics trackers, advertising SDKs, or user profiling systems.

2. Microphone Use and Voice Data: The app uses the device’s native speech recognition (Speech-to-Text) feature for English pronunciation practice. This requires microphone permission.

Operation: Voice data is processed through the native speech recognition services provided by your device’s operating system (Apple iOS or Android).

Data Security: As the developer of LingOrtus, we never record, store, or listen to your audio on our servers. Voice data is used only for instant transcription during the pronunciation task.

3. Notifications: The app may request permission to send local notifications for learning reminders. Notifications function entirely on the device, and no data is transmitted externally. Users may disable notifications anytime from device settings.

4. Sharing with Third Parties: LingOrtus does not share, sell, or rent user data to any third party for advertising, marketing, or commercial analysis.

Speech Recognition: Data flow is limited solely to the speech recognition function of the application and only through the system providers (Apple/Google).

5. Children’s Privacy: The app is designed to be safe for children. Since no personal data is collected, no process violates children’s online privacy regulations (COPPA or GDPR-K).

6. Payment Processing: All subscription and purchase transactions are securely handled directly by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. LingOrtus never has access to your payment details or credit card information.
